Walt Disney World

Here we see a truer vision of what Walt Disney wanted when he first opened Disneyland in 1955. Had he had the money earlier Walt would have invested in a lot more land in and around Disneyland to keep other hotels, motels, strip malls and outlets from spoiling the view of his theme park. Now, with Disney World, he would have more land than he could use to create a complete vacation destination. Sadly, Walt was not around to see the completion of Disney World, which was re-christened Walt Disney World after his death. Now, we have a vacation destination with four theme parks, many resort hotels, a shipping village, water parks, golf courses and all manner of recreation.
